Thank you to our Partners
Homeless youth services
The Matrix C.O.C. is partnered with the Walton & Okaloosa County School Districts to provide for the unmet needs of homeless students K-12 in Walton & Okaloosa Counties. Students are referred via a voucher program by school personnel such as but not limited to, an SRO, a teacher, guidance counselor, or principal. All vouchers are vetted through the School District and are then sent to the Matrix to be fulfilled. Students meeting the requirements for this program are provided with a number of services at the Matrix to help ensure that each child feels confident and is equipped with everything he or she needs to excel in their daily environment.
Backpacks / School suppliesOur goal is to help our children succeed in all that they do – to ensure that every homeless child is equipped with the fundamental tools needed to thrive in school. Children cannot learn without basic school supplies, and no child deserves to fall behind on their education.

prescription assistancePrescriptions and medical equipment not covered by insurance are provided to homeless children and their families who commonly lack excess funds needed to acquire or maintain prescriptions and or medical equipment needed to accommodate mental and physical illness, and injuries.
|
case management / resource advocacyCase management among the homeless is an effective way to help get people back on their feet faster. Our friendly staff collaborates and cooperates with resources throughout the community to provide support and guidance to the children and their families who are struggling with homelessness.
